First edition of this very rare book describing the various events—political, festive, etc.—that took place in Seville from 1671 to 1746.

The greater part of the work is devoted to the festivities organized in 1729 for the arrival of the king.

It was printed by the priest Florencio Joseph de Blàs y Quesada († 1754), appointed principal printer of Seville in 1722, who mostly published religious texts such as sermons, orations, etc. (see Clara Palmiste, The Organization of the Book Trade in Seville in the Eighteenth Century).

The edition is decorated with a fine architectural title-frontispiece, engraved by Juan Fernandez, and 2 large folding copper plates after the Sevillian painter Pedro Tortolero (about 770 x 240 mm). The first shows the triumphant entry of Philip V into Seville on February 3, 1729, and the second illustrates the procession of the relics of Saint Ferdinand III to the Seville Cathedral on May 14, 1729.

Valuable and attractive copy preserved in its original soft vellum contemporary binding.

Contemporary manuscript ex-libris at the bottom of the title-frontispiece of Don Lope de Olloqui of Seville.
